Taufkirchen/Germany, 31 March 2023 – Sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT is developing its U.S. business further by establishing HENSOLDT North America entity and concentrating on existing and future business potential in the areas of armored vehicle sensors and ground-based radar.

ALEXANDRIA, VA - Northern Defense Industries, LLC (NDI), an AMS Group, Inc. Company, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hensoldt, Inc. in an agreement to continue to provide shipboard TRS-3D and TRS-4D radar aftermarket support to include spare parts, repairs and services. This acquisition follows a long history of collaboration between AMS Group. Inc. companies and Hensoldt Group Companies. Hensoldt Inc. will become a wholly owned subsidiary of NDI. HENSOLDT continues its strong support for U.S. Government agencies, partners and customers in the defense and civil sectors. For instance, since 2020, HENSOLDT has secured important contracts to supply significant numbers of ELRF sensors to the U.S. Army M1 and Allied FMS ground combat system programs of record.
Furthermore, HENSOLDT North America successfully demonstrated advanced capabilities for “layered sensing” as well as 360 Situational Awareness and Driver Vision Systems to key representatives of the U.S. Army in early February 2023. Key stakeholders representing most of the U.S. Army’s current and future fighting vehicle inventory appreciated the outstanding performance of the systems during this day and night demonstration held at a U.S. Army training area.
